VN to VS series

Some of these pics are small versions, simply click on them for a bigger pic.

Click here for pics and info on car 914, a standard Commodore SS, from the 1996 Targa Tasmania, where it came 7th outright.

Here is a Western Australian Police Dept. VQ Statesman! Light bar is a Code 3 (U.S.) "LP" series unit.

Modified VN Calais

Here is a pic of Rick's 1990 VN V8 Calais. It runs the standard 5 litre with a cold-air intake of a VS Series II SS, 2.5" free flow exhaust from the cat back, lowered Lovells springs, 17x8" "VR Clubsport copy" LWT wheels with Falken 235/45 tyres, Autotecnica leather sports steering wheel, Sony CD, upgraded alarm, as well as all the standard Calais equipment. Next on the list is an engine upgrade (cam, chip, double row timing chain - supposed to produce around 215kw). This will hopefully improve on the low 15 second quarters it currently does. One day when cash permits he would like to add a VN Group A bodykit.

Here are some pics of Lui's VS SS V8.

VP Ute S

Here is a pic of Scott's VP S Pak Ute, it has a sports bar in the back and is fitted with Auscar mag wheels and has been lowered.

Here is Jay's 1997 VS V6 commodore ex chaser with the usual BT1 pack. Accessories and mods include: Dual Air Bags, ABS, FE2 Suspension, 16" PCW Club Copy mags with 225/50 Dunlop LeMans on the front and Yokohama 502's on the rear. The little additions of the BT1, including digital speedo, disabled interior lights, additional light in instrument cluster to allow speedo to be read with the lights off, air horns. A new sound system to be installed includes JVC KD-SX840 CD headunit, Kenwood KFC-P602 6" splits, Blaupunkt ODx653 6" 3 ways in the rear, Kenwood KAC848 4x50WRMS amp, and 2 Sony Xplod XSL1230 12" subs. 2 channels of the amp put 50WRMS into each of the front splits, the other 2 channels will be bridged to 2 ohms to put 75WRMS into each of the subs which will be run in parallel. More info can be seen at http://www.mpx.com.au/~jukesy/

Here is Dale's 1988 VN Formula, with V6, 5 Speed gearbox, Extractors 2,1/4 exhaust straight through muffler no rear resonator and stock cat converter with twin outlets (yes two separate on each side of the car), cold air induction, Kingdragon air filter, 15inch mags (at the time now 17inch VT SS mags), it has run a 15.813 quarter with out any mod chip, has 3.08 diff, DBA cross drilled and slotted disc brakes up front with stock rear disc's.

VS 2

Here is Paula's VS Series II, mica panther in colour. It has the 1BROCK number plates which are costly as they are customised and not personalised, but the money is well worth it. It also has the drivers side sun visor signed by Peter Brock along with his motto "Enjoy Life" when she met the great man himself in Tasmania at Targa. It also has his son James' autograph with targa 99. The car was made for Paula by request, as it was only being built if ordered. The windows are tinted, and it also has a sense alarm. It also has holden mud flaps and the lion embossed car mats, and bonnet and light protectors. It is an auto and that economical on fuel it is a blast. Paula plans on getting HSV seats, V8 spoiler and a front spoiler kit.

VP GTS replica VP GTS replica

Here is Wally's VP GTS replica. It has a full body kit, mag wheels, mod chip, and a two and a half inch exhaust.

VN Calais VN Calais VN Calais

Here is Andrew's 1989 VN Calais with 3.8 litre V6 and auto transmission. Air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, cruise control, trip computer, leather upholstery and leather sports steering wheel, full Group A body kit, 10 disc CD shuttle with 10" Sub, 17" Alloy wheels on 255/40/17's, a pleasure to drive and look at.

Here is Chris' VP, with pacemaker extractors, 2.5inch exhaust, 15x7 mags, alpine CD system and speakers, cruise control, now has clubsport grill, it is a 3.8L V6 auto.

Here is Nick's VP SS. It's a 5L, 4 speed auto and only done 70,000kms. He has just recently put a set of Pacemaker Extractors into a 2.5 inch exhaust through to the muffler and then to a three inch to a twin 2.25 inch tip. It also has Simmons B45 mags, Sony CD player, Momo Champion steering wheel, Cold Air Intake, K & N Filter, VT Series II side indicators, K-mac adjustable Camber/Castor kit, and an automatic transmission cooler. Soon to come will be a HP3 Chiptorque Cam & Chip Package.

Here is Sam's VP. So far it's had genie extractors fitted along with a 2 & 1/2in sports pipe and muffler, and for cosmetic reasons, a VT exhaust tip (the big oval one).

Here is Mick's 1990 Holden VN Formula. Modifications to the V6 include cold air intake, K&N filter, head work (raising the comp. ratio to 9.2:1), Stage II camshaft, extractors and a 2 1/2" exhaust system. It runs a factory Delco computer with a ChipTorque-modified Memcal. As for the rest of the car, it is lowered 2 1/2 inches, rides on 17 inch PCW VT-Pro wheels with Continental tyres, is a manual with a 3.7:1-geared LSD, and has an Alpine/Infinity stereo. Rear wheel power was last rated at 123kW @ 5300 rpm and its best performance to date is a 14.97 @ 92.25mph at Willowbank Raceway.

Here is Pep's VN SS. It is almost stock standard but the motor has been stroked to 355, it's running a modified t700 auto gearbox, it's only done 138000kms and pulls low 14s down the quarter mile. I am still on my provisional licence but this is my fifth car in 4 months.
