The VL Group 3 Signature Series was based on the Berlina. The "signature" was a jibe at Holdens because Peter Brock refused to add his signature to the Group A VL when Holden refused to fit energy polarisers to them. It had the full HDT engine and suspension mods. 16x7",3 piece HDT aero alloys, front air dam/bumper, side skirts, side moulds, rear underbody skirt with lower adjustable wing, wraparound rear decklid spoiler, decals and badges. The interior was retrimmed and HDT sport seats, Brock sound system, electric mirrors and antenna, a momo steering wheel and gearknob. The price was $40,653 for the V8 auto and $45,108 for the borg-warner 5 speed T5 manual. All Group 3 cars were white with grey interiors.
